The 2^ Dissemination Event of the BeBOP project will take place on 19 October 2026 at the ENEA Office in Brussels, bringing together stakeholders from industry, research, policymaking, certification, and standardization communities to discuss the current state and the future challenges of sustainable biomethanol in Europe. As a Horizon Europe project, BeBOP also aims to support the development and market uptake of innovative and sustainable biomethanol value chains, contributing to the energy transition and the circular bioeconomy.
The event will focus on the crucial role of standardization in enabling innovation, facilitating market adoption, and supporting regulatory alignment within the emerging biomethanol sector and related biogas-based value chains. Through presentations and interactive discussions, participants will explore the current market state of the art, the standardization landscape, identify existing gaps and challenges, and exchange views on future priorities and opportunities for collaboration. Particular attention will be devoted to fostering dialogue between industry representatives, standards developers, researchers, and institutional actors, while showcasing practical tools and resources developed within the BeBOP project to support stakeholder engagement in standardization activities in the biomethanol sector.
