At the CO2-based Fuels and Chemicals Conference 2026 in Cologne (April 28–29), Ammar Hyder from ICODOS took the stage twice to present breakthroughs in scalable green fuels:
- Day 1: Award-Nominated Innovation. Hyder presented “Cost-Competitive E-Methanol Production Through Interlinked CO₂ Capture and Methanol Synthesis.” The presentation highlighted ICODOS’ unique process—which merges carbon capture and synthesis to drastically slash production costs—earning a nomination for the prestigious “Best CO2 Utilisation 2026” award.
- Day 2: Spotlighting the BePOP Project. Hyder returned to discuss the economics of achieving cost-competitive green fuel production. He utilized the platform to introduce the BePOP project to an international audience, underscoring the collaborative effort needed to drive defossilization.
By proving that e-methanol can be economically viable, ICODOS continues to pave the way toward a circular carbon economy.
