Adriano Ferrara and Giulia Guarguaglin (UNI) on 09/03/2026 presented the BeBOP project during a lecture at Università Bocconi within the Geopolitics for Business course.

The session explored the links between standardization, energy security, and the transformation of the European energy system following the 2022 European energy crisis, highlighting how diversification of energy sources and initiatives such as REPowerEU are reshaping Europe’s energy landscape.

During the lecture, the BeBOP project was presented as an example of research and innovation supporting the energy transition through the development of an efficient process to produce renewable methanol from residual biomass.
