Uniting Projects and Standards for Circular Impact

The workshop was structured into three insightful sessions:
Session 1 – Circularity Standards: international standard ISO 59001 and the Italian Standard for Circularity UNI/TS 11820 were analysed and compared
Session 2 – Project Presentations: BeBOP and UNITED CIRCLES presented their methodologies for analysing circularity.
BeBOP: focused on circularity within a single integrated process.
UNITED CIRCLES: expanded the scope to industrial-urban symbiosis within an H4C scenario.
Session 3 – Key Discussions: Moderated by ECODESIGN, the final session engaged participants in tackling crucial topics: i. Comparison of circularity frameworks; ii. Approaches for low-TRL innovations; iii. Overlapping goals and complementary strengths; iv. Defining possible guidelines; v. Identifying barriers and areas of action for circularity.
